Downloading and installing Skype for the Mac

I need to put skype on the MacBook Air. I went to the skype page and attempted to download it. I think it downloaded but I’m not sure. I see a dmg image when I do a find on this Mac. This is different from downloading with Windows. What do I do next? <--- Mac Access At Mac Access Dot Net -
