I'm using an Ipad mini. Is there an accessible app that you can get to open
all ms office file types? when they come via email as attachments.

The apps you’ll want in this case are probably the iWork suite, which consists
of Numbers, Pages, and Keynote. They are separate apps from Apple, and work on
an iPad Mini quite nicely.
