Try going to apple menu then extras menu then select wifi menu extra then
select the hot spot as the wifi network.

Firsty, on your phone, you need to go into settings and into wifi. While
the phone is unlocked, on your Mac computer pres VO with M twice. Press VO
with the left and right arrow until you get to the wifi option. Then arrow
down. Your hotspot should appear as an option to connect to.
