I am now moving on to bigger things in the native mail app on my Mac Air. I
need to create a distribution list (as it is called in Outlook), but I didn't
see any option in the menus that would give me a hint that I should open the
submenu item. Is this something that is completed
Create a group in Contacts and add the desired contacts to it. Then just
send the message to that group.

distribution is definitely a Mac as well as a Windows one
to say that the group creating is now a lot easier in lion then it
ever was in snl.

Acutally it's a way to send EBlasts. you create your distribution list in the
address book and it parses out the thing in the too field so each name is a
seprate message. I don't know what scussy mail is but I assume it does the same
thing.

You don't. you do it in the address book and use a program like serial mail to
send it off.
