issues under 10.9
hi all on my mac when i am on the desktop under 10.9.2
When i am on my desktop and i click a file it isn’t working and it is like my
focus is not not he desktop does that make sense?

That happens to me at times also. I will hit vo m and it will say apple menu
but not go there. What I usually do is hit escape or go to the dock and bak
again and it will help it sometimes. Also having quick NaV on will affect it.
Just keep trying and it will eventually work lol.

I have never had that issue. Check your curser tracking to see if it is off if
it is utrn it on. You can do this quickly wiht vo shift f3. It's a toggle. Iv'e
been using a mac since snl and no focus issues at all in regard to the finder.

I find that setting the mouse to ignore the other cursors prevents troublesome
focusing issues.

Hmm. that souc d work, although it might not work in all situations. It's
worth a try though for those of us that don't use the mouse a lot.

For what it’s worth, my experience is rather the opposite. I always set the
mouse to follow the VO cursor, and it seems to solve more problems than it
causes. That being said, I haven’t noticed these focus issues consistently at
all.
