Generally for me when done via Quicklook all types of attachment fail. Another
interesting one (now you mention it) is that if I attempt quick look from
inside a message body it doesn’t display any attachment. I have to be in the
message list in order for it to work.

Opening attachments is somewhat sporadic.
If there is only one I generally find I can open it successfully, however in
the case of multiple attachments I experienced similar problems to those who
have reported!

the body of the message, pressing VO+Shift+M, selecting Open With…. Preview. I

As anyone found that it is not possible to open a mail attachment? When I try
mail simply crashes all the time. I have to save the file before I can open it.
I think this is a generalised proble
