Hi Brenda
No, not to my knowledge. I think once you have updated the IOS, it is here
to stay.
Cheers

I suspect the answer is no. Since it is a core component of the OS.

OH same here. I love the voice and the personality seems more human if that
makes sense.

Worth noting that the new voice only seems to be a US one for now. It's still
Daniel for UK english. Incidentaly, Daniel sounds like he's got his head
buried in a pillow on IOS7!

Doesn't sound that bad to me, but I guess everybody has their own opinions.
Like I said if they would just enable the Siri voice is everything would be
okay. I wonder what the hell they use anyway.

on the new voice as well! I am sorry about this because I liked the sound of

Hi Carol,
You can change Siri's language independently of voiceover. This gives you the
new US voice. I haven't tested extensively to ascertain how differently
recognition works etc.

I think so, too. I put in the high quality voices and I thought maybe I
could give her a way to get a semblance of that voice back, I don't think I
can.
Now, here's what I found with the iPod touch fifth generation, though.
It seems that, with the compact voices off, Siri becomes more
Hi!
Yeah, I’m still trying to understand this. I just installed the high quality UK
voice and it sounds a world different from my compact voice here. Any chance
you can provide samples?
I hear multiple people saying it sounds either distorted or different in some
other strange way.

aha! That's exactly what she says, too. Interesting. Can we actually adjust
her pitch like we can in the screen readers? Do you think that might help,
that is, if we can do that?

That's because you have to get the high-quality version. I don't know how that
exactly is done, it's hit or miss.

Fleksy is not working the same. It will not let me send a text message. It puts
the contacts there, and puts the message in the body. However, when I push send
the message does not show up in my message list. Does anyone have any ideas or
solutions?

Will you'll be happy to here that you don't have to learn to speek 'merkan when
the dialect is set that way on Siri. I've asked the following questions:
1. Who am I?
2. Where am I?
3. What team does Darron Gibson play for?
4. Who was George Best?
In both cases the same correct responses
On Sep 19, 2013, at 14:29, Terry Clasper terry.clas...@btinternet.com If I
remember correctly, that was something from the rumor mill. Fleksy is not
integrated with Apple. That was a false rumor someone started to spread. I
follow them on Twitter, and they have said nothing about this.
Siri, the female voice in US English, sounds real sad. The life has gone out
of her voice. The male voice doesn't sound too bad. I don't know who that
voice is.

For one thing, why in the first place would you even consider going back? I
guess people have their reasons, but that seems a bit odd to me that anyone
in their right thinking would wish to do that.
