Hi Ester,
thanks a lot for the tip with MPEG Streamclip! This app was exactly what
I was looking for and now I can extract the audio tracks out of my video
recordings and let convert them into m4a tracks! Absolutely cool, one
thing more that I can do with my Mac now and where I do not need
Hellow,
I'm trying to make an archive using nice cast of people talking on skype and
playing a song or songs. I've set nice cast to record myself and from skype
when I load it up, which is fine, but the issue I'm having is trying to get
people to hear the song I'm playing over skype and also
This is probably a problem with the app.

Hi all,
First let me apologize if this particular topic has been addressed. I am
unable to use my Mac to search the archives at the moment, and while I can't

I'm thinking that as well. I'm reading on my twitter feed that the website is
going to hades a hand basket as well. Sad as I used to brows that site to get a
series name I wanted.
Take care.

I should not use nice cast to do this. I would use audio hijack pro and run it
through sound flower, then hijack your mic through sound flower as well and
record the skype call at least since that will pick both you and the conference
up.
If you want to use nice cast set sound flower as the
You can use audio highjack too to domake the song play through Skype too.

I don't have audio highjack, but I am running soundflower all the time. I have
vlc playing through soundflower which in turn plays through my plantronix
headset. The skype input is set to my plantronix headset also.

Actually I tried that and it did not work.
Here is the link I posted on this list probably a few weeks ago regarding
this very matter.

OK, I had a look at the link you posted and the reason I've got my source in
nice cast set to skype is so people can talk as well if they want to broadcast
with me. I've set everything else to the places you suggested already because
I've had them set up for a while. I just want to make the
Yeah for the stream to hear you you have to have your thing set to sound
flower, and I mean everything. the reason I use garge band is so I can mute out
when I need to, and apply gates and compressions and stuff when needed.
Take care.

When working on the Mac, the focus switches to world clock, and date, it's
happening even with VoiceOver off.
Is this normal? And how do I stop it from happening?

Oh that's not true! I know you said it but it's not. There may be other things
that… Other operating systems may do better at, but after spending time with
them and seeing how it updates and how it ruins computers, well to a certain
extent, Mac is much superior in accessibility and other
I'd be working in a program, and the screen changes.
It's not a big issue, but when you have sighted siblings using the Mac, and its
happening to them, they say the Mac is, forgive me, crap.
Of course, I know this is not true.
