think it is. She didn't have to turn it on originally but it is easy enough to
turn off.

The thing to understand is that, at least on iPhone and Mac, iCloud calendars
are treated as a separate account. You have an iCloud account and calendars
within it. Any events added to those calendars will be synchronized. Someone
