Hi Sarah, Unfortunately I don’t think Pages is a good tool for what you want to do. I know of no way to do that in Pages apart from copying a paragraph or two at a time. That’s why for that kind of writing I prefer to use Scrivener. It’s designed for just that type of thing. It’s great for

I have confused myself a little here. As updated to Yosemite I took Sarah's good advice and checked the sound feedback and now indeed I do have to press Fn plus Option plus F11 F12. What has confused me is that I thought I did not have to use the Fn key as I changed my keyboard to F1 etc.

I do not have to use the option key to change volume. To change VO Volume bring up voiceover voice properties and then by using VO Command left and right arrows keys until you hear volume and then use the up and down arrows again in conjunction with command Vo to change volume. David
