[Mac-access]: An iPad Question.
Hello Folks: I am trying to help a person with her iPad and Voiceover. I have an iPhone but not an iPad. The problem is that, if she opens an item, for example Bluetooth settings under settings, in stead of her speech focused in the Bluetooth setup menu, it goes back to the Setup menu. She then has to swipe quite a few times in order to enter the opened Bluetooth settings menu. Is there a setting on the iPad to prevent that from happening? Is that a container thing? [Mac-access]: New bluetooth speakers
Hi all, Today I received my belated Christmas present from friend and list member Hannah Day, stereo bluetooth speakers by Gear 4. It is very small but has excellent bass. It is also completely accessible. When you switch it on via a small switch on the side it emits a chime and is immediately in pairing mode. Once connected, both VoiceOver and audio output in general comes through the speakers. Also guess what? We were surprised to discover it can also be used as a speakerphone. We assume one can talk to Siri as well as make and receive calls via the speaker. If you know any better please let us know as we are curious. Thanks! Charging is done via the USB port at the bottom of the unit. There are also push buttons on the unit but not sure what they do. Battery life is about five hours and the unit also supports line in meaning you can use these on any device that do not support bluetooth or you simply do not wish to use it. --- Mac Access At Mac Access Dot Net --- To reply to this post, please address your message to mac-access@mac-access.net You can find an archive of all messages postedto the Mac-Access forum at the list's public Mail Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/mac-access@mac-access.net/. If the iPad is in landscape mode, try changing it to portrait. That seems to make a lot fewer screen splittings. At 03:28 PM 1/28/2015, you wrote: There is no setting to change this behaviour. Re: [Mac-access]: An iPad Question.
This is one of the things I hate about iPads, and find the phones easier, as when you close a window, you are immediately on the back button, and iPads don't do that. Closing out the windows you are in and backing out properly seems impossible. I have tried the closing of the hand thing, but when I go back in, to settings for example, then all the windows are still open, and I like to cleanly back out of these windows. [Mac-access]: Allowing iTunes to receive incoming connections
Hello, I am running the latest Yosemite 10.10.2. I have firewall turned on in the security section of system preferences. I have Apple TV setup to stream from iTunes. Every time I start iTunes I see an alert message asking me to allow or deny incoming network connections to iTunes. I always choose allow. If I turn off firewall then I do not see this alert. I have looked at the firewall options and see that iTunes is set to allow incoming connections. So I should not see the above alert. Is there some other option I need to set to always allow iTunes to receive incoming network connection requests? Is this a bug? For security reasons I would like to run with firewall set on… Many thanks for any help….
