Hi Everyone,
I'm creating audio files using ad to iTunes as a spoken track.
After conversion is complete, the file format is m4a.
Can I convert this file into mp3 file using iTunes ?
If not , is there an app that will do this ?

Sure there are apps that will do this, but mp3 is larger in size than m4a.

Yes however, it can be done. If you go into general preferences in iTunes, and
click the import settings button, you can change the conversion type from M4a
to MP3. It should be noted, however, that Harmony does have a good point.

Not trying to deflect from the original question, but I'm encountering some
files that have a brstm Extension and would like to convert theseā¦ while I know
that probably nobody on here has heard of these, I'm wondering if anybody knows
a way to convert them to a playable file type.

In that case, I'll leave the file format as m4a.

George, if you're looking to read this file on a device that does not support
m4a, Then it may be worth converting it, but if you're going to be using it on
a device that does support this, you can leave it at that.

I was thinking of sharing the file with others.
When I do, the other person can convert it if they want.
