Hey guys,
Under the library browser in Garageband, I am able to see my virtual
instruments that I can choose and play. Via online reading I've seen several
instrument options, world instruments for example, that I don't have and want.
I've looked for the directory of Garageband files to see
Phil - I thought there had to be some reason for you writing:
search there for GarageBand. Please don't say you can't find them - they're
there - check your spelling. There's five in the series…
There seems to be no sign of anything to do with GarageBand, and there is no
search facility either
Andy, at the top of the webpage www.appletothecore.info, there is a frame
called Navbar-frame. interact with that frame and the search box is in there.
In the meantime, the following link will take you directly to the search page
containing all five of Ricardo's very excellent GB podcasts.
BTW: if you are using the version of GB before the new one that came out with
Mavericks, I.E. V6.05, then these podcasts are for you.
I understand that the new GB under mavericks
kind of sucks and is quite different with a good deal of accessibility broken.
I wouldnt suggest upgrading from
Thanks Phil, just started listening -

Hi all -
Ok, nobody has come back to me regarding getting started with GB, so maybe
somebody can tell me this: Are there instruments already available within the
app, I can see what VO reports as an empty table for instruments, but when I
interact with the table, I can see certain instruments
I can't help with the new GB - I'm still using the older V6.05
As far as working and getting started in GB, there are many podcasts on the
subject, however, they all deal with the older version. I'm not sure how much
the new GB differs, but you can probably get a good idea from these podcasts.

Thanks - I'll take a look tomorrow for these podcasts. Don't worry, I'm not the
kind that gives up easily, so I'm sure I'll find them if they're there -
