I use My Yahoo. I have customized it to provide news and other info
I want to see. I am surprised no one else has mentioned it.

I have a homepage with excite.com. I got it one or two eons ago. It's
set up with local weather and weather of cities I visit.
I set my browser to display a blank page when I open a new window.
However when I click on the home icon in the browser bar it takes me to
excite.com
