[MacGroup] Help… …display dimmed on lower area.

Hello, My display began to flicker on about the lower third of the screen, and is now always dimmed in the same area. Is it time to get ahead of a display failure and just replace it? Or is there software that is able to look at the functioning of a display to analyze it? Any assistance

Sounds like you just have a bulb out. They're tough to replace, though. What brand is it? If it's a cheap-o off brand, you may be better off with a new one. If it's an expensive Apple one or an iMac, take it by MacAuthority and/or the Apple store and have them quote it for you. At any rate
