Is this a pop up during a web browser session? If so it is not a system wide
issue. My wife gets these all the time from websites. When she is reading an
article someone post’s on Facebook. It’s an ad for software or a subscription
to a service in most cases.

I don’t remember if it is on the latest version of iOS or not and can’t tell
until I activate it. which I should be able to do but am concerned if this is a
legitimate (really Apple) query or not. It doesn’t really look like something
Apple would so. Too plain.

First thing is do a hard reset. If that doesn’t work restore from backup.
One of the two usually fixes that type problem.
Good luck.

My iPad has entered an activation lockup. This is the first time I have
encountered such a thing since I got the 3rd generation iPad in 2012.
In the middle of browsing news, it suddenly locked up and now requires my Apple
ID and Password.
Is this OK? It has never happened before and I wonder w
