[MacGroup] diskwarrior - future use of disks
I finally got around to reading the comments some of you had concerning using DiskWarrior and re-building the directory on your Macs. I've never done that, but sounds like it's high time I do. Since I'm thinking of buying a DiskWarrior disk, it got me thinking - isn't there discussion of future Macs (and the current MacBook Air) not having DVD/ CD drives, and with the on-line App Store being our new source of software, how will this kind of maintenance be done? ___ MacGroup mailing list MacGroup@erdos.math.louisville.edu http://www.math.louisville.edu/mailman/listinfo/macgroup

Re: [MacGroup] diskwarrior - future use of disks
I had the same problem when we went from Tiger to Leopard, or Leopard to Snow Leopard, I can't remember which. I was told by the folks at DW that they had to make a new version for the newer software and I imagine if you called them you would find the same. If you just upgraded I would think they would get you the correct version at no cost but giving them a call would be my first option.
