[MacGroup] iPad open wpd files?

2013-03-12 Thread Bill Micou
How do I open (and work with) WordPerfect docs on my iPad? I thought Pages
would allow me, but when I try to open the file from the email, I don't have
Pages as an option. I've done a limited search for other apps, but found none.
If something as complicated as an Excel spreadsheet can be opened by Numbers,
why am I having trouble with a word processing file? Any ideas?
Thanks.
Bill

I did find that one, and saw the reviews which weren't very encouraging, so I held off. Anyone use this (WordPerfect Viewer for iPad)? On Mar 12, 2013, at 08:32 AM, Ed Wiser wisero...@gmail.com wrote:http://www.corel.com/corel/product/index.jsp?pid=prod4950089cid=catalog20038segid=8600081storeKey=uslanguageCode=en#tab3—Sent from Mailbox for iPhoneOn Tue, Mar 12, 2013 at 8:17 AM, Bill Micou derby...@me.com wrote:How do I open (and work with) WordPerfect docs on my iPad? [MacGroup] Advise needed

2013-03-12 Thread Stuart Ungar
Hi all,

Having some issues with my Mac mini and could use some sage advise. The
computer is several years old (i think its the last year of the older larger
one) and has started to run VERY slow. Seeing the color wait ball a lot. And,
lately it's taking forever to boot up. This morning I was thinking it just may
not boot up at all. But, I shut everything down and let it rest and then it
booted up.

My son (he's 14) has started to use the computer much more. Mostly gaming, but
also thinking he may be visiting some questionable sites. I don't want to blame
him (could just be the age if the computer) but at this point I don't know
what's wrong.

What should I do? I have family photos on the computer and also need it for
work, so it's important!

Thank you!
Stuart

2013-03-12 Thread Tanya
I am terrible at hardware and great at software. This has been my motto since
running several companies. Hire people to do what they do.

I would run NOT walk to MAC Authority. I have a G3 tower that runs beautifully
and still does alot of my design workload (because I'm a die hard Freehand
girl). The I send it over to my macbook pro which is also fabulous because of
those guys!

I hire them to fix my mac and I hire my fabulous tax person to do my taxes.
Well worth every penny I spend! Hire people to do what they do.

May not be the answer you want to hear but its what I offer.

Good luck!

My first question to any slowness problem would be: how much RAM do you have
installed? And how full is the hard drive?
