I grabbed dyld from http://www.lehigh.edu/Macintosh/X/ptk/dyld-tk, replaced
it with the old dyld. Forgot to change the permissions, and had to install
OS X on a separate partition to change the permissions
i've also managed to get 5.8.0RC2, modper2 (1.99.5-dev), apache2
(2.0.40-dev) and BerkeleyDB 4.0.14 all humming along nicely on OSX 10.1.4
... as of last eve, latest builds still seem OK

home page says the camelbones framework has to be rebuilt.
i installed the source but no clues there - no docs
since there is a CamelBones.pbproj, i assume i build it in project builder?

I've stayed with 5.6.0, because that's what most end users will have.
If you're writing something for public distribution, I recommend using
the Perl that came with the OS. That

i have perl 5.6.1 installed. i think CPAN installed it. and it must have
put it in the right place.
i installed the camelbones package as is and the 'hello world' example
worked as is.
excellent.
now i just have to figure out how to do all the cocoa stuff.
