I filed https://trac.macports.org/ticket/40710 for updating gstreamer and
plugins to 1.2 and added a patch.
Tested the patch on two macs.
I haven't heard from the maintainer for 6 days.
Since the guide says after the expected response time is 72 hours [1], I am
posting here to ask whether
