Yesterday I couldn't resolve the names at all, now I can resolve them
and I see the services on 80 are running, but the servers aren't
replying.

I'm using Google's DNS server and I see that the IP address I'm
getting are the same that nserver.apple.com provides.

I guess it's more on the app side that a DNS issue, earlier I got a
database timeout from Trac (I sent a mail to William about that).

Can you access the webserver on http://trac.macports.org at all?
I cannot, also http://www.macosforge.org is giving a 500 error.

http://www.macports.org works but takes about twenty seconds to
provide an answer.

(European time).

This is a thing I already reported yesterday (Europe again). I'd assume this 
affects only:

https://www.macports.org/index.php
https://www.macports.org/ports.php

Not sure about the real cause. But I'd speculate it's some timeout on the 
database backend which need to occur before the page is served. For `ports.php` 
this is quite obvious, for `index.php` I'd believe to remember there is a //no. 
of port count//, which is probably dynamically generated.

The current result of index.php gives:

There are currently **a lot of** ports in our tree, [...]

There should be a no. right?

As of this time, svn commit also fails for me due to authorization
problems as reported by Clemens and buildbots are offline.  Other svn
operations such as update

When adding new comments to tickets in Trac the page takes a very long time to 
submit. I can open the same ticket in a different tab and see that the comment 
has been added, but I haven't seen mails to the -tickets mailing list for the 
last few comments I added – so I'm guessing the connection to the mail server 
is running into a timeout.

Can you take a look?
