I just used mplayer to play some old mpeg files on my system but after the most
recent update it seems mplayer is deprecating support for some codecs…?

This is the error I get:

Requested audio codec family [mpg123] (afm=mpg123) not available.
Enable it at compilation.
Opening audio decoder: [ffmpeg] FFmpeg/libavcodec audio decoders
AUDIO: 44100 Hz, 2 ch, floatle, 192.0 kbit/6.80% (ratio: 24000->352800)
Selected audio codec: [ffmp2float] afm: ffmpeg (FFmpeg MPEG layer-1 and layer-2
audio)

This error seems to only affect old .avi files I have on my system. .wmv and
.mpg files don’t seem to be affected.

Is there a way to enable this at compilation for macports? Or otherwise obtain
and enable the right codecs?
