I am a big fan of KDE3 for X11 that I use on my old computer (OS X Lion)! I
have not tried to install it on my new computer (El Capitan) since there is
little hope that it will work (as far I understand). I would be very happy if
there was a port of Trinity Desktop ...

What is the role of xfce4-session ? Because other components (xfwm4, panel,
desktop) seem to work ...

I put exec startxfce4
in .xinitrc.d/99-xfce.sh
I mention that if I put instead exec icewm e.g. everything is OK.

Hi,
OS X 10.11.2, Xcode 7.2.
Has anyone managed to install xfce ? For me, the installation fails at the
package xfconf ...
I have installed gnome. However I am unable to launch a gnome-session. What are
the 'right' configuration files ?
Thanks for your help!

Hello,
I have installed KDE4 with qt4-mac. I would prefer to have a X11 environment.
Is it possible to install KDE4 with qt4-x11 ?
Thanks,

Hello,
OSX 10.11.2 Macports

I have problems with gnome-session and also gnome softwares in general.
For example, with evince I get when trying to read a .dvi :
