Help, please. I am unable to successfully install MacPorts 1.8.0 on
Snow Leopard running on an iMac. After several failed attempts I
completely removed the prior version using this command from the FAQ:

/Applications/MacPorts \

Thanks, that was the information I needed. I was having a network
issue that I still don't quite understand, but I was able to get
