Hmm. That "original selection '+darwin'" must have been made a very long time ago. MacPorts 1.9 doesn't record the +darwin variant in the registry anymore. Cleaning python27 should be all that's required to reset this. You're sure you've run "sudo port clean python27" and it still occurs?
