Hi,
i use the excellent ecasound to record, edit, add effects and so on,
to sound files, or live performances.
the last version 2.8.1 compiles fine on SL.
you can find all you need (sources, doc ...) at:
http://eca.cx:ecasound/
ecasound needs jack installed, but jack is already in the ports
unix...
