Well I think one of the best comparisons is just a 1st gen MBP vs a 2nd gen MBP. Yesterday I tried running Feisty on my MBP C2D with screen dimmed to its lowest, ndiswrapper (wifi) unloaded, using only the vesa driver and I couldn't get it below 28W. When I shutdown X it would go down to 27 W but
