If I recall correctly, gptsync is a utility supplied by rEFIt.
Does anyone know if there are any thermal issues to be concerned about
while running under Linux rather than OS X ? Are there any special
kernel configuration options for this when building a custom kernel ?

I notice at power up on the Quad MacPro that there is a delay of
approximately 30 seconds before the rEFIt screen is displayed. Has
anyone else noticed this on the MacPro or any similar machine ?
