If you are using a Debian kernel you should report the bug to Debian
using the reportbug command.
Check that you see 2 CPUs with "cat /proc/cpuinfo".

New packages I had to install (Debian) were libconfuse-dev, pciutils-dev
and libsmbios-dev.

I will further note that the package in ubuntu edgy is broken, providing
no symlink from libsmbios.so.1 to libsmbios.so. I had to do this
manually to build the daemon.
