Hi List,
Finally I've got my new mac book pro.
I need to get a couple of things sorted out for work such as registering
it on our network, this means I need the Ethernet address for both the wired
and wireless / airport network adaptors.
Can someone tell me where I go to find these,

Hey guys, I just wanted a quick nook at a driver CD for an old part I have
laying around here, and it's a mini CD. Uh, I am really reluctant to just
shove this disk into the slot on the side of my mbp. Does any one know if the
drive will take these discs?
Thanks,

A+ certified
Hello Erik,
I'm afraid your MBP won't take mini CDs.
Cheers,
Anne

It should, depending on the format used. Richie Gardenhire,

The CD drive will not take midi CD's. If you put it in the slot, it'll get
stuck.

You can get a special external drive from the Apple Store that will
accommodate mini CD's. another thing you could do, although it is a
lot of time consumed, is to transfer your data onto a mini disk
recorder, then transfer it to your hard drive. Richie Gardenhire,

I'll share my labels for xCode and more

Go to the Voiceover Utilities, go to the menu bar, and there you can choose

How do I get rid of that Growl helper ap. It's far more a hindrance
now than a helper. I had it start when Adium starts. Now, every time
someone logs in or sends me a message, it says adium needs attention,
growl helper ap, and if I'm in another program like Safari, it'll
lock up VoiceOver
IN the system preference panes, there is a button for growl.
If you press the button, system preferences will reopen and you can press the
stop growl button. Hth,
Chantel.

Don't do it! I made that mistake and had to take it to the Apple Store to
have it removed. You won't be able to get it out withough store assistance.

Naw, this was like a one shot deal. So it doesn't work, no problem. I just
walked it over to my pathetic old windows laptop. Now that I come to think of
it though, the pc I'm installing on is going to have a slot. I suppose I
should really convert these drivers.
Ah well, onward...

Seems to me that the Mac Power PC's could accommodate a mini disk, but
it's been so long since I had one, I can't remember. Richie

Hi all,
I just thought I'd let everyone know that Boot Camp 3.1 has just been released.
The release notes say Windows 7 home premium, professional and ultimate is
supported. Here are links to the 32 and 64-bit updates respectively. Note that
you'll need to apply these updates within a
Hi all, when in Itunes, in the sources list, I have two items one says

I think the first store is like a heading. It's in all caps. Right
below iTunes store is purchased, store playlist so I think the
first store is like a category thing. If you stop interacting with
the table while focusing on store and then interact with the table

Hello all. I have just installed radio shift and managed to change the view of
stations found by doing a search from the default images to the table view.
There are 3 columns, one with unlabeled buttons, 2 with the name of the station

I don't think that you can. Those services are probably Automator workflows. In
Automator, there is only one action that I know of that can speak, and that
action only allows setting the voice, not the speed or any other parameters.
So, if you want to do some serious text to audio conversion,
Listers in Windows I can right click on a word in say Outlook or a text editor
and get synonyms for words. Does anyone know how to duplicate this feature on
the Mac?--
