Hi Carolyn,

In voiceover , there is a script that tells you the time when you want to hear
it.
You need to activate the keyboard commander in the voiceover menu and chose the
left or right option-key.
Depending on which choice you have made, you press the chosen o

Hi list,
I use Amadeus Pro to convert files. You can do it as a batch or one
at a time. This works on a Mac. However if the purpose is to add to
iTunes I think you can do that directly through iTunes. I did this on
my PC and all my .WMA files were converted by iTunes to the format I
chose.

Just like it says in the subject line. :) I've got tracks I want to
convert from WMa to MP3 format--or WAV, AIFF, whatever Itunes can
play, so I can add them to my Itunes library. VLC will play them, but
I'd like to convert them. Running Leopard, with no snow.
Thanks! :)

Ahh, that would be something. I wonder how detailed the raised areas
are. Would be nice to have the OSX equivalent of the voiceover braille
panel which can be positioned and resized anywhere and contains the last
spoken phrase.

I'm going to use my windows mobile on my virtual Machine as I have windows 7

Hi,
I'll answer your questions 1-by-1.
Question 1.

If Accounts preferences are locked, click the lock icon in the

You might be surprised at how many Cd players now play mp3s from data
CDs. Even cheapie portable ones are starting to support it so you can
get upwards of 10 hours on a single disc, depending on how hard you
compress your audio.

I'll start with a recipe for the first one. In System Preferences go to
Accounts and then to Login Options. In the series of checkboxes you
should find one that says "Use VoiceOver at login Windown". Turn that on

Hi,
If you're using DVD Player, hitting enter actually works. What happens is that
the menus automatically come up on the screen, and you can navigate them by
using the arrow keys. Of course, you won't get any feedback, but on most DVDs
the first option is play. Hitting enter should proceed as
Yeah, has anyone discussed the difference in the dialog area?
I still struggle with that when adding stuff in itunes or other progs.
Sometimes I get it, and then other times I fumble about.
