Karen, it has nothing to do with voices being broken. Even if he did download a new version of the voice, it would still crash on him. Again, this is a bug with 10.12 that 2010 Mac models had and it didn't get fixed until 10.13. So my original question remains. Can he upgrade to High Sierra? If

The more I read about these things the more I keep thinking I'm going to have to break my own rules and buy a set. So far the comments are pretty good, And the fact they have a longer battery life and controls on board to me make them somewhat more a better product than the standard airpods.
