I'm not aware of any setting that changes this behavior. I have gone all
through the Finder preferences, and have never come across any such setting.
This is just the Apple way of doing things.

Here’s something I miss from the MS-Windows days. In a list of files in a
folder, I want to find a file starting with the letter “B”. I press the “b” key
and up comes the first file starting with that letter. From old habit, I then
press the “b” key again and realize that I will not jump to
Hi all:
DO not know if my question is right or not, but i need to make a clean install
for my mac mini, i have Catalina, but my machine is getting slower and slower,
sometimes VOiceover did not respond, do not know if it will solve some of my
problems or not, but i think i will give it a try.
Thank you, reassurance is much appreciated! I was assured that the app was
excessible and had gotten (for what they are worth) good reviews. Since I'm
currently having internet problems (hence the need for a poorly timed change of
router) I was unable to do my own research. I really hope it
Yes, it is, Karen. Janina had explained in her final response why she’d missed
the mod’s email. I apologize for starting it if it upset anyone.

Is this available for IOS as well? That’s actually where I see the worst of
it, due to these ads constantly refreshing, and as it’s loading, it disrupts
VoiceOver from speaking, but the sound for the ad is muted, so I just happened
to have found out by accident one morning that an ad was

Hi There John.
I do hope you are well. This is a question for anyone to answer.
At the moment I am using an AirPort Extreme and I’d like to know do these
meshes do the same thing as Airport Extremes? Are these things wireless? So
if you get one, how and where do you put these things as my
As long as the app is accessible, I would assume setting up a simple home
network should be pretty obvious and straight forward. I’ve not used this yet,
but I Think and Think is the important word that I read somewhere that it is
accessible. I could be thinking of another router though.
Shirley,
Have you tried to use m.facebook.com on your mac? This is the mobile website
and is way easier to navigate then the facebook website itself. If you want to
chat with people, facebook messenger app for the iphone works well here.

It depends. What do you want to do on Facebook? Do you want to just chat with
people or look at news feeds and stuff? If just chatting, I recommend Trillian.
If doing both chatting and news feeds, Menutab Pro for Facebook is good.

Hi, Andrew:
Wednesdays are my very busy day and I frequently don't get to list
traffic on Wednesdays.
Also, this particular question is arguably well off topic for this list,
as the distinctions between the Debian ISO that installed Mate for you
and the tarch iso that would give you a pure
Hi Andrew,
Yes should be fine so long as you are using I think it's windows 10 18/09
This should let you start narrator once the installation of windows starts in

Good morning,
I will shortly be receiving my new Linksys Velop mesh. It is the first
