You likely pressed the mute button, which is usually the F10 button if the up
and down volume buttons are F11 and F12. Headphone volume is separate from
internal speaker volume, so if you turn up or down the volume on one, it does
not affect the volume of the other.

Normally, you navigate to the Document area, interact with it, then if it has
multiple pages, they will be listed. Interact with the page you wish to read

I just received my first pdf file. I loaded it into Preview, but could not
figure out how to access the text. Also, if it is an image, is there a way I
can perform OCR on it without attaching a scanner? Is there a version of
