Column and Row Header Voice in Numbers Too Low and Croaky

Hello, I used to know how to fix this in Excel on Windows, but I’ve never run into this problem on aq Mac. While the information in cells in a Numbers spreadsheet read in my normal Tom voice, The column and row headers read in a very low and garbled speech. This voice is not my default voice
