By default, I believe if you use the right command key and a letter, it will
find the first voiceover item that starts with that letter. I have never found
it very useful, and it’s been around for a long time.

But I have the same issue as you.
And I don't know why I have a folder called mail on my Mac which just contains
the same folders as above that folder.
