No, Doug. Buy more RAM and storage than you can afford. Sell your car, your
boat, or your kids to raise the extra. I mean, nothing in life is as important
as having enough RAM and storage, right? Oh, shoot. I forgot about CPU speed.

Thanks all. That's what I was sort of figuring. Get as much ram and storage as you can afford. Makes sense too. Best, Doug. Douglas Lawlor Email: doug.law...@gmail.comOn Feb 6, 2023, at 11:32 PM, Dave Carlson wrote:No matter what you think, and no matter what others think, you will always want
No matter what you think, and no matter what others think, you will always want
more RAM and storage later on. So best advice is to start with as much RAM and
storage as your budget allows, and then squeeze more juice out of the carrot
and move up to the next higher amount of RAM and storage.
If it were me, I’d get a minimum of 16 GB RAM, and at least a 1 TB SSD.

Hello all,
It's been a long time since I posted here. I'm in the process of purchasing a
new Mac and was wondering how much ram and storage people are going with these
days? I mainly want a machine for web and app testing, some word processing /
text editing, and some single track audio
Yes, the problem is some of these notifications are at the system level.
The suggestion to go into System Settings under General and login items can
affect some of them, but it’s probably not a good idea to turn things off
unless you know what they do.

It’s possible. I had it in my bookmark folder of resources. It probably is
outdated then. I think the suggestion in System Settings under login items
might be the way to go.

John,
This article is from December 2020.
The information is too old to be relevant for Ventura.

Dave,
This is new in Ventura. You must have many apps that start up at
login. Go to System Settings. Login Items.

Herbie,
Okay, I suspected these were being generated when I restart. This seems to have
started with Ventura,m or a recent update. It never happened using Monterey.
Any idea the purpose of these notifications? They seem pointless and irritating.

Do a VO O to bring up your notification center. Interact with Notifications and
do a VO Command Space on each group. You will then be able to clear them. You
wil have to do this for the log on ones every time you restart.

John,
I also read this article before posting my question. My notifications do not
seem to be application-related. I have notifications set to “off” for all
applications on my Mac. The only notification that is populating is the “login
items” notifications, and all I can do to them is to
I’ve been getting multiple notifications for logon items. They seem to
accumulate even if I restart Ventura. Ohly way I’ve found to trim them down is
one by one. I have 29 notifications so far, all marked as “login items”. I
don’t even know what is generating these notifications, but they are

Hi!
It works quite good actually.
I have a bit of annoyances from VoiceOver announcing that firefox has new
window when I move the navigation around on pages.
And I can not for the life of me get to the dialog when it asks if I want to
save a password.
But otherwise it works fairly well.
Bless!
Hi!
There are some strangeness with all kinds of browsers on the Mac with VoiceOver.
Chrome for example has this issue that when I move around on pages Vo announces
that chrome has new window.
Same with Firefox.
I don’t like that and as a braille user its quite annoying.
