I love the idea of being able to send messages or FaceTime call from the device I think probably for me the best bet would get some thing like the mini because I didn’t find the music experience to be that great on the bigger HomePod as I said, I’m not a bass head, so it really wasn’t geared

I have not heard the HomePod in person, but do own a couple of HomePod minis. I also have 2 of the Sonos 1 speakers. With Airplay 2 it is quite nice to get the minis and Sonos talking with each other. Start music in the kitchen and then tell SIRI to Play it in the Living Room. I'm just using

Phil, there is a Google Translate app for iOS. I don't know if there's a way to create a shortcut of some kind to ask Siri to translate something but it goes to the Google Translate app instead, though I've heard of assistant finagling before so it's probably not out of the realm of possibility.

I bought one and brought it in and tested. I didn’t like it. Too much bass. Even when I turned off the base option in the Home app, it still just sounded tinny then. I much prefer what Sonos is offering. Also, Siri still does her miraculous things like on it still searching. It’s just not for me
