if you double tap and hold on the text, file, you get a pop-up menu, including
the share option. You can then use that share sheet to open the text file in

exported either as a text, file or as a M Microsoft word file.
Voice Dream Writer app opens into the last text file used. I leave it with a file open with just one blank space, so it is ready for action. The app is designed for Blind folk to edit text and has brilliant features. HarryOn 30 Jan 2023, at 00:39, Jonathan C. Cohn wrote:THe translation app could

If you have enabled FileVault, if you do set up VoiceOver to come in at login,
there is a bug affecting M1 Mac mini at least; VoiceOver does not land in the
password box and is unresponsive. You have to turn VoiceOver off and back on

The cheap 2018 iPad is great for those things too, but the processor and ram

I’m considering buying a used MacBook Pro 2015 8gb ram 256gb ssd running El
Capitan to see if it will run Mojave with VoiceOver - does this sound viable?
My old 2009 MacBook just crawls along...
Any help appreciated.
Thanks

I can’t find any genius setting on Apple Music on my iPhone and if I ask
HomePod to play more like this track, Siri says genius is. Not available. Am I
missing something?
Thanks

Adding extra RAM is easy (my wife did it for me) and my 2009 MacBook does run
High Sierra - but voiceover is now so sluggish that it might have been wiser
not to have upgraded the OS.
So, I agree that the latest and greatest is not necessarily the best choice!

I just got a ComPilot to connect my Phonak Nathos S+ Wireless hearing aid to my
iPhone 7 Plus via Bluetooth. The results were very disappointing. The ComPilot
made things more tinny and when I tried using BlindSquare, as soon as the GPS
navigation app started speaking, the robotic ComPilot

Yes, handwriting with VO and Apple Pencil is good, though I still have to use

Oh, please could you explain how to do what you refer to as the “VO-Return
method”? I’d really like to be able to use this!
Thanks

Wow! Good old Microsoft! I can’t wait for the snow and ice here in U.K. to
clear so I can get out with my new trainee guide dog to try out this app!
Thanks for the heads up!

Today I repeatedly asked Siri on my HomePod to play the latest episode of the
Apple Insider podcast - and each time she played a programme called Apple
Cider! I wonder whether it was her sense of humour...

Like Marie, perhaps, I have my watch series 3 set at full volume and that is ok
most of the time but if traffic goes by while I’m out, I really cannot hear the
watch. I’m in my 60’s and do have some hearing loss. I will get another hearing
test soon but I would love a bit more watch volume too!
