Well Eric, I want to believe your three other possibilities, but due to Musk's
previous actions like firing the accessibility team and forcing almost all the
employees out of there by their resignations, it sounds like he don't give a
damn about us who don't use the native Twitter app or the
At this point, Mastodon is looking like a viable alternative. Been posting via
the twitter site as responses to many of my followers tweets to cross post and
follow on mastodon. And yes, twitter apparently shut down the 3rd party app API
on Thursday 2023-01-12 without announcement or comment.
may be worth sharing that Musk removed Twitter's department working on
accessibility, when firing staff a few weeks back.

Hey guys. Well for what it's worth, it seems like this was an internal decision

If it comes to it I’ll use the Twitter client for iPhone.

Thanks, I appreciate the information everyone. It does seem very deliberate on
Twitter’s part and if they do end up disabling all third party apps like this
permanently, it might be what pushes me over the edge to just stop using
Twitter. I’ve been thinking about it for a while anyway.

Hi all.
According to what I’ve been reading, most third party clients are not working
with Twitter. It seems to be a big problem for many. I wonder if it is because
of the changes they are making with the timelines. Hopefully, they’ll fix it,
unless they’re wanting to force us all to use their

Mine stopped working while still online and then when I went to restart it, it
got caught in an authentication loop that even my sighted roomie can’t get
around. I have tried contacting the developers and even posted a screen capture
video to their
Yes, for me it started yesterday afternoon,; not surprised as I’d already heard
about another client having problems.

For the last two days, any time I open NightOwl, it asks me to reauthenticate
Twitter. Which is fine, but the page to do so doesn’t actually load, and it
constantly plays the error sound again and again and again. I’m unable to do
anything else.
Is anyone else having this problem?
