Hi, I have not seen these sorts of problems, unless you have multiple mail accounts, which require more database and CPU processing. However, one annoyance about mail on the most current MacOS, is that if you use favorites and switch between mailboxes with cmd+1, cmd+2, cmd+3, ETC, Voice Over
