Yes, it does sound to me like a Safari issue, not a MacOS issue. I wonder if
you removed the Safari plist file and let it re-create itself, if that might

Google Chrome but not in Safari. For now I shall have to switch to using

Did you try going up to the Bookmarks menu, then down to Add Bookmark instead
of using the keyboard shortcut? Just trying to see if it might be something to
do with the shortcut as opposed to the actual command.

Hello Tim,
It’s so weird but that’s exactly what I would have done to add a bookmark. It
just doesn’t work I & I have no idea. why. It’s not necessarily a voiceover
issue so I won’t ask for any more help. I will try to look for a way to
contact Apple support. None of my macs seem to have

Hi,
Just wanted to check or ask you to check whether you are able to add new
bookmarks in Safari latest 15.4. I don’t seem to be able to bookmark any pages
at all regardless which OS on my mac I use: Big Sur, Catalina, Monterey: the
same thing happens. Can’t bookmark anything.
