Catalina is working fine for me, if your mac is capable of running it, there is
no reason not to upgrade.

Interesting. I use QuickNav on Safari, so whenever I get stuck, I'll press
right arrow to get past it but it just circles back around.

Oh I’ve run into that issue as well. If the search text is found on the current
paragraph, then it’ll just keep taking you to the same paragraph. Once you find
it, you have to use VO-right arrow to go to the next paragraph and then can use
VO-g to search again. That’s what’s worked for me.
I have noticed the aforementioned interacting bug. Also, I'm seeming to get
stuck in places on Safari a bit. Well, this really only applies to GoodReads.
