Listers, Thanks to all for your responses on my trouble with Yosemite clean install. In the end, I had to ask sighted assistance since Voiceover would sometimes speak during the installation and then it would disappear again. The machine I was doing the clean install is late 2010 macbook air

Hi, I have just had to start reinstalling Yosemite on my macbook air. I've started from the recovery partition by erasing my hard drive and then pressed reinstall. Apple verified my computer and I pressed the agree button in the dialog that appeared. And then I couldn't hear anything.
