Well, I figured how to change the default program for opening a given
extension (MP3 files defaulting to Quick Time). Selecting an MP3 file and then
entering +i opened the file information dialog where I was able to
then change the default program for all files with the MP3 extension.

I would prefer to have Quick Time be the default program for opening MP3
files. How to I go about changing the current default from iTunes to Quick
Time?
