Kevin, The installer for lion will land in your applications folder, command shift a to get there. Once the app store prompts you to install lion and you want to wait till later, as you wrote, simply command q close the installer, find it in your applications folder tomorrow and run it then.

I'm downloading Lion for the first time. The process took some doing because this was my first purchase on this Mac from the app store. I think I eventually did get Lion to start downloading. However, I can't find a progress bar and I don't see the Downloads folder's i'm used to when
