Verizon is one of the best engineered networks for disasters which is one
reason they are used so heavily by governments and municipalities. T-Mobile is
building out for this business as well though so competition is on the way but
you’re in pretty good shape if you’re using VZ. Always a good

lots, but some of these disasters out smart us all. That certainly doesn't
preclude the necessity for disaster preparedness, just know that things can

Verizon has both battery backups and generators at their cell sites. Verizon
was one of the only networks available during Katrina for example. AT&T uses
battery backups good for 8 hours but does not have generators. T-Mobile I

Yes you can, in the Beta 10.2 the SOS feature is enabled now just like the
watch. Instead of pressing the button on the watch you press the screen lock
button 5 times now and it sends a message with your location to your contacts
defined under the SOS feature as well as alerts the authorities.
