I've been fiddling around trying to figure this out. If I'm on an app
like mail, itunes, calendar etc. there is a search control. If I double
tap that, I get a keyboard to enter some characters. As I'm typing there
are search results or autocomplete suggestions being displayed. Two
questions. First, shouldn't it say something about "7 matches found" or
the like? Second, what's the best way to reach those? Only gesture I
could come up with was a two finger up flick to read from the top of the
page, which usually lands me on or near the first
suggestion/autocomplete item, but not always. I can also just randomly
tap somewhere towards the middle of the screen but it seems like there
ought to be a more reliable process. I found lots of instructions for
web widgets and for Voiceover OSX, but nothing for iOS apps. This all
started because an iOS product team was asking me to check over their
app for accessibility and one of their new features was search
suggestions. I couldn't figure out how to easily navigate to them so I
thought I'd show the developers what it works like in another app, only
to discover I couldn't get it working (well) on any of them. Any
tips/pointers?
