Hello Keith and others, I took your suggestion, Keith, and just used Google Chrome, and it worked like a charm. Thank you very much. I think that this will be my approach in the future. I am still using Mountain Lion but will be upgrading, now that most of the gotchas have been addressed.

HELLO Keith and all. Need some newby help. Sounds as if I should have gone to Google Chrome. How can I get rid of Adobe Flash and get Chrome? Does it disable Safari or does it just work automatically? I said I was new at this, especially with Mini. I use flash for streaming HLN, MSNBC, etc.

Good point Cheryl. Also be aware that some sites may require a specific version of Flash that may not be handled by the current version of Chrome. My wife ran into that just this evening. She is trying to take a online course and needs at least Flash 11. Not sure why chrome won't handle it but

Macs do support Flash, it's only iOS that does not. That said, I try to avoid it due to the security and performance issues it has suffered from and that were the main reason iOS never adopted it in the first place. Still, you can install it, then disable/remove it if you don't want it anymore.
