I have a headset with a microphone; both have standard headphone jacks. Will
the Mic work on the Mac Mini? I know the headset does, but unsure about the
Microphone.
Do I need instead to get a USB headset/microphone?

the mic jack is at line levels so you will need to eather turn the mic all the
way up or use a usb mic.
